The Friends of Cape St. Mary's gladly announce the release of the new Denis Ryan CD "Let Me Fish Off Cape St. Mary's" featuring Otto Kelland's unforgettable ode Let Me Fish off Cape St. Mary's.

The CD can be purchased directly through Landwash Distribution and from many stores. It will also be available at The Rookery, the Friends of Cape St. Mary's' on-site store at the Interpretation Centre at Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve beginning with the 2006 season.

All proceeds from the sales of the CD will be donated to the Friends of Cape St. Mary's. Friends of Cape St. Mary's is the voluntary, non-profit organization which supports Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve in all facettes.

Friends of Cape St. Mary's support a variety of activities at Cape St. Mary's such as special events, educational activities, the performing arts, and art exhibits. Their main source of funding for their programs is generated by the sales from The Rookery.

The activities of the Friends of Cape St. Mary's reach out into the local communities in the vicinity. In particular, the group holds a formal partnership with the regional highschool, Fatima Academy in St. Bride's. The partnership involves "Nature's Classroom" to coincide with the school's curriculum, an educational program to appreciate, cherish and train students of all grades in issues pertaining to Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve and general environmental issues.

Friends of Cape St. Mary's hold a formal partnership with the Government of Newfoundland & Labrador through the Parks & Natural Areas Division of the Dept. of Environment and Conservation.
