Over the summer months the Friends of Cape St. Mary's provide a variety of employment positions for students. The students prepare interpretive activities and assist the reserve manager, interpreters, and visiting scholarly researchers on site, and work as store clerks in The Rookery. Some of the students previously employed by the Friends of Cape St. Mary's have joined the staff of Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve in full time positions having gained valuable skills during their previous employment with us.

 

 
 
Student Positions Available

The Friends of Cape St. Mary’s Inc.
is currently accepting applications for
four summer student positions.

Duration: 7 Weeks, 35 hours per week

Eligible Students
Post secondary and Level I, II and III

Requirements
Students must demonstrate some cultural history background,
and a good knowledge of
Cape St Mary’s Ecological Reserve.

Students should be knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and friendly,
and have good communication and public relations skills.

Students must be able to conduct effective working relationships with other staff and be willing to work weekends and evenings.
